2026 Impact Award Winner: Gene's Camera

Gene’s Camera, purchased in 2025 by Jon Gilchrist and Melaney Miller, was recently named one of eight Indiana businesses receiving a Small Business Impact Award. The awards are presented annually by the Indiana Small Business Development Center. Gene’s Camera has been South Bend’s premier camera retailer since 1939, and the transition to new ownership preserves a legacy business in the community.
