Startup Competition

Simon Venture Group is now accepting applications for its 2nd annual retail startup competition in collaboration with Silicon Valley’s Plug and Play Ventures (the #1 retail accelerator in the world).  They will be selecting up to 3 companies to win a $25K minority ownership investment, a 12-week accelerator opportunity in Silicon Valley, free office space for 1 year at any Simon property, mentorship, and a potential follow-up investment by Simon Venture Group and Plug and Play Ventures.  If you’re a startup innovating physical retail space, ecommerce platforms, retail data analytics, local and personalized commerce, smart cities, or a rising new retail brand, apply here to enter into this competition. January 7 is the deadline for applications.

Indiana Small Business Statistics

We’re often asked for stats on small businesses in Indiana. To make this information easily accessible, we’ve created a landing page on the OSBE website that highlights small business statistics in Indiana. Please use these statistics as you see fit; however, please cite the source when utilizing each statistic. Are you looking for a statistic that’s not here? Tell us; we’ll do our best to track it down.

I look forward to sharing the State of Entrepreneurship next month and to continue to assist Indiana entrepreneurs start stronger, grow faster, and work smarter.
