A Record Breaking Year for the ISBDC
Our 2015 clients have reported that the ISBDC helped them launch 243 businesses, create over 1,400 full-time equivalent jobs, and raise more than $112M in capital. All three numbers surpassed the ISBDC’s 2014 records. In capital alone, every dollar invested into the ISBDC resulted in $30 of new capital being raised by our clients. The Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship’s annual report, highlighting the ISBDC, will be published shortly-but we wanted to share this exciting news with you first!

Indiana Entrepreneurship Week
Mark your calendar! June 19-25 will be the Second Annual Indiana Entrepreneurship Week. Last year, community organizers across Indiana hosted over 50 events resulting in over a thousand participants. We ask that you consider hosting your entrepreneurship summer events during this week so we can help promote your activities and spread the energy Indiana has in cultivating entrepreneurship across the state. Be on the lookout for more information, including an updated Indiana Entrepreneurship Week logo coming soon from our friends at United State of Indiana.
A Letter from Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann
With Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann’s last official day in office next week, she wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your hard work and dedication to our state’s small business community. As many of you know, the ISBDC State Office resides under the Lt. Governor’s Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. As a small business owner herself, she has been a strong advocate for small businesses during her time as a State Representative and Lieutenant Governor. I am confident she will continue to be a voice for entrepreneurs. A personal note of appreciation from Lt. Governor Ellspermann can be read here.
I look forward to sharing the State of Entrepreneurship next month and to continue to assist Indiana entrepreneurs start stronger, grow faster, and work smarter.
