Today’s interview is with Nexxt Spine.
Nexxt Spine was one of 33 Indiana businesses named as a Company to Watch in 2013. The company continues to create measurable impact in the Indiana economy and plans to launch three new products in 2014. We recently caught up with Nexxt Spine to find out how their business has changed since winning the award.
1. How did Nexxt Spine get its start?
The President of Nexxt Spine, Andy Elsbury, was a contract manufacturer for more than 15 years, managing design and development of spinal implants and instruments for large companies such as DePuy and Medtronic. Andy realized there was an opportunity to manufacture quality, American-made implants which support the value-based purchasing model by utilizing superior raw materials and local manufacturing. This also offered more fiscally responsible pricing to hospitals and surgery centers.
2. How has winning this award impacted your business?
Being named an Indiana Company to Watch has brought new recognition for Nexxt Spine and create broader awareness about our organization.
3. Have you developed any new products or services since winning the award?
Since winning the award Nexxt Spine has launched three full product lines; our Struxxure Anterior Cervical Plate System, Facet Fixx TransLaminar Screw System and our Facet Fixx TransFacet Screw System.
4. What does the future hold for your company?
Nexxt Spine will continue to work on expanding our product portfolio offering. Our engineers will be actively working with surgeons to bring new innovation to the spinal implant market.
