INnovation Center Joins ISBDC To Support Region Start-ups

Dec 13th, 2011

The Hammond INnovation Center strives to boost the business climate in Northwest Indiana by supporting start-up companies as a business incubator. The center offers not only office space but also office and consulting services for entrepreneurs in the region.

The center has full-time and associate programs as well as the new Small-Biz-on-the-Go format where participants can use the facility to conduct business or take advantage of select incubator services. Executive Director Greg Boyan said the center has a long-standing partnership with the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center. The two organizations work together to offer the Business Feasibility, Lunch-and-Learn, Smart Start and Evening Digest workshops.

“We offer space for SBDC counselors to meet with their clients and we refer clients to them if they need help with their business plans,” Boyan said. “The SBDC is an important part of Northwest Indiana as it helps not just start-ups but existing businesses as well.”
