Monroeville, Ind.—Cody and Erika Shipp have launched S & K Sheet Metal, LLC, at 107 Webster Street in Monroeville. The family-owned and family-operated business merges the technical skills gained from Cody’s 14 years as a sheet metal worker and Erika’s business acumen acquired through 12 years of experience in the cosmetology field.
S & K Sheet Metal serves the construction and sheet metal fabrication industries. The firm offers design assistance, the fabrication and installation of sheet metal products, as well as welding repair and the installation of heating and air conditioning (HVAC) ductwork and kitchen exhaust systems.
“Our main focus is customer relations and quality of work,” according to Cody, while noting that their pricing is competitive. “We have very low overhead in comparison to our competition, which allows us to compete in both the residential and commercial industries.”
S & K currently has two employees, a lead fabricator and a lead installer, and plans to add more workers as the business grows. “We expect to continually upgrade equipment and add employees to expand our fabrication and installation capabilities,” Cody said.
Shipp is a client of the Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center, where he was provided with small business resources and marketing assistance.
