Cummins Exploratory Day 2021

Cummins and Indiana SBDC Join to Promote Global Supply Chain Opportunities for Veteran-Owned Businesses

The Indiana SBDC (Small Business Development Center) is partnering with Cummins to host the 2021 “Cummins Exploratory Day,” an effort by Cummins Global Supplier Diversity’s Center of Excellence to grow supply opportunities for a diverse audience of suppliers, including veteran-owned, minority-owned, women-owned, and LGBTQ-owned businesses. With a special focus toward veteran-owned businesses, the 2021 webinar will provide an insight into Cummins, provide potential suppliers the necessary groundwork for becoming a preferred vendor and discuss the global opportunities for both products and services.

In recognition of our veteran-owned businesses, this year’s “Cummins Exploratory Day” will take place virtually the week of Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 9th, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eastern. We look forward to seeing you virtually!

Matchmaking Opportunities for Key Product Segments

Throughout the day, we will host matchmaking sessions for those categories we are seeking goods and services. Each registered company will be vetted in advance of the event according to Cummins current sourcing needs and will be invited to participate in one-on-one matchmaking opportunities throughout the day.

Opportunities exist in plastics, nozzle rings, seals/gaskets, wiring harnesses, vibration dampers, clamps/fittings, shells, sub-assemblies, coolers, stamped, machined and extruded metals, castings and hardware. Service areas include general contracting, IT consulting, healthcare services consulting, legal, marketing and facility equipment service.

Needs change continuously. If you are new to exploring global sourcing opportunities, this webinar will provide an excellent overview of what is necessary to position your company to win contracts in the future.

The Registration Process

Upon registration, you will be asked to answer first-level questions, including your industry, M/W/VBE certification status and a broad overview of capabilities. Vetted companies asked to participate in the day’s separate matchmaking events will be asked to provide a full capability statement as preparation to that matchmaking. Cummins Center of Excellence will directly coordinate the matchmaking invitations.
