Southeast Indiana SBDC Named State Center of the Year

The Southeast Indiana SBDC is hosted by Purdue University and provides no-cost business advising and training to entrepreneurs in a 14 county region of Southeast Indiana.  This past year, they have partnered with financial and community organizations developing intentional early-stage Black and Hispanic programing to accelerate the disappearance of the wealth gap by enabling visionaries and innovators of disparate backgrounds access funding opportunities.  In recognition of their tremendous success, the Southeast Indiana SBDC, lead by Jon Meyers, was named the recipient of the 2023 SBA Indiana Small Business Development Center Excellence & Innovation Center Award.

In addition to this Center-wide award, Southeast Indiana SBDC Business Advisors Ginnie Faller, Joe Linnie, and Mike Fulkerson were recognized for their contributions to Indiana SBDC client business. Ginnie received the $5M Capital Club award in recognition for assisting small business in Southeast Indiana with raising a record breaking $5M, Joe Linne received the $3M capital Club award, and Mike was named the Indiana SBDC State Rising Star Award, which recognized new team members who go above and beyond to support the Indiana SBDC mission.
